Planning a Basilica Wedding . . .

	Rates for Using the Basilica . . . The following rate definitions determine the applicable fee which includes a Basilica Staff Wedding Director: Non-Parishioner Rate - $900 For those who are not registered in any parish prior to making the Initial Inquiry. For those who are registered in a parish outside the Asheville Vicariate prior to making the Initial Inquiry.  For those who are registered less than six months at a parish within the Asheville Vicariate (including the Basilica) prior to making the Initial Inquiry.  Vicariate Rate - $450 For those who are registered less than six months at the Basilica of St. Lawrence  prior to making the Initial Inquiry. For those who are registered  at least six months at another parish within the Asheville Vicariate prior to making the Initial Inquiry. Parishioner Rate - $300 For those who are registered at least six months at the Basilica of St. Lawrence prior to making the Initial Inquiry. cd   Non Refundable Deposit Included in the rates above is a non-refundable deposit required to secure your wedding date: Non-Parishioner - $150 Vicariate - $100 Parishioner - $50 The remaining balance is due in our office no later than 2 months before the wedding. Additional Fees to Consider Additional fees may apply for MUSIC and FLOWERS and are linked to pages elsewhere in this site. Stipends CELEBRANTS:  Stipends are customarily given to the presiding clergy.   Since there is no set fee, the couple should consider the Celebrant's time and effort spent in preparing them for the Sacrament and for the Wedding Ceremony itself when deciding what the stipend should be.  This stipend is made payable to the Celebrant. ALTAR SERVERS:  When the ceremony includes a Mass, two Altar Servers are required.  There is an established fee of $25 for each trained server provided by the Basilica.   These stipends are payable to the Basilica two weeks prior to the wedding date to give us ample time to prepare payment for the servers. There are two exceptions:  (1) Your Celebrant does not want  to use servers, OR, (2) with your Celebrant's approval you have secured your own altar servers, i.e., family, friends, etc.  Rates are Subject to Change Established rates are subject to change without notice.  The rate published at the time the wedding date is affirmed on our calendar will be the applicable rate.
